“Book of transformations for prepared piano”

Chapter I: “The secret story of the old music box” 

"The Secret Story of the Old Music Box" s part of a cycle of pieces for prepared piano titled "Book of Transformation for Prepared Piano". Each part of this cycle has its own "secret", which is revealed during the performance of the piece. The piano in this cycle appears to the author more as a mysterious "black box" filled with an almost mystical meaning. The dramaturgical basis of "the mysterious story of is a conflict between two different sound regions: crystal-clear transparent sound like child's music box in confrontation with the dark abyss of low-register piano. During development of these images there is their transformation and movement in the opposite direction. The composition ends with an unexpected surprise for the audience.
